Based on The Marshall Project and ProPublica Pulitzer Prize-winning article, “An Unbelievable Story of Rape,” written by T. Christian Miller and Ken Armstrong, and the This American Life radio episode, “Anatomy of Doubt”, with episodes directed by Oscar nominees Susannah Grant and Lisa Cholodenko, “Unbelievable” is a story of unspeakable trauma, unwavering tenacity, and astounding resilience.
Showrunner Susannah Grant executive produces the series, from CBS Television Studios, along with Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Lisa Cholodenko, Ayelet Waldman, Michael Chabon, Katie Couric, Richard Tofel, Neil Barsky, Robyn Semien, and Marie.

Since it's a NetFlix movie, I imagine, one of the following scenarios plays out:
1. The girl, usually nonwhite, is raped by a White man.
2. The White girl is initially alleged to have been raped by a nonwhite male, but overtime she's found out to be lying: there had been no rape at all. And the uncharacteristically high-IQ intellectual nonwhite male is finally acquitted of the charges, but not before he's been thoroughly battered by White thugs for good measure.
3. The second scenario, except not only was the girl not raped, but she was the rapist. The victim was a nonwhite male. In some favours of the story the victim was a 2-metre tall, 140kg heavyweight boxing champion.

This is critique on the series…and not the story. It's bad. Bad vibe. Bad acting. Poor script. The two main characters are abrasive and annoying. Wouldn't watch it again and won't recommend.
