Really well done documentary! They focus on the families and friends of the four instead of the psycho that killed them. My daughter died at 33 yrs old so I know how hard it is to tell your child’s story. Kudos to the families for giving their children a life story to offset the garbage that’s posted online about them and their friends. And the many people in the comments that cried about the disservice given to Kohlberger for airing this before the trial: he had already taken a plea to avoid the death penalty. On the outset it appears he’s escaping the punishment he deserves, but as he’s already discovered in his first months in prison his life there may be worse than death. Personally I hope so.

These survivors urk me, of course it's not their fault. But, we now know everything from the court files and it's disturbing how they let him off the hook without making him stipulate. In the end, they gave him what he wanted: an iPad, fresh air, vegan food, future book deals, etc.
If it doesn’t make sense, it’s because there’s lies. This story is far from the truth. There is so much more involved.
I had to quit after the first episode. It was wall to wall "smile that could light up a room" material. Maybe this makes me a bad person, but that cliched crap is my least favorite part of true crime. It's always an eye roller for me.

This story just gets me. I was, we all were young kids, college or not, having fun and thinking nothing will ever happen to you so you dont do things like lock the door or pay attention at night when youre out drinking and hanging with friends….the fact that 2 fought back and did their best to survive is so heartbreaking. But because of them, BK will never see the light of day to do this to anyone else ever again. RIP you 4.

It is a good documentary, almost functioning as a memorial to the slain students. With the gag order in place, no interviews with law enforcement are shown only interviews with family members & friends.

This was an excellent documentary. Its nice seeing the actual siblings and parents speak. So many little details that we didn't know before. My heart goes out to every family, i don't think I could go through this.

This documentary almost reads more as a documentary against the mainstream news cycle and internet bandwagoning than just a documentary about a murder in Idaho. Its quite genuinely upsetting some of the stuff these kids had to go through, the death threats and harassment all while trying to grieve the death of 4 friends, and they dont even get a true reward in the end as the killer never announced his motives and the internet validates him as an incel Maurer. Genuinely this documentary actually made me feel bad for the victims and angry and upset about what they had to go through.
It was a little odd there were no discussions about what anyone was majoring in or what professional aspirations any of the people had

I loved the documentary, it was a lovely tribute to Maddie, Kaylee, xana and ethan… I'm absolutely horrified by the actions of these cyber sleuths who violated the lives of their friends and family which was really sad to see, i hope the families receive closure
