Will someone from Europe explain—why does this Spanish film seemingly portray (mythologized) American high school? Do Spanish high schools have mascot teams, house party culture, cheerleading and basketball teams? (I haven't watched the film yet but given the justified concern of Americanization in Europe, I was shocked to see an ad for a Spanish-language young adult film, illustrating the Cinematic American High School Experience)
