Netflix has more content without a doubt but HBO Max is about quality not quantity. The only reason I get Netflix tbh is when stranger things comes out and once I'm done with that I delete the account.
I think people underestimate the negative effect AND wasted time ads have on them. You can literally spend a year of your life watching ads if you don't get ad-free!

The good thing about HBO Max is i pay for it through AT&T so it feels like I never really pay for it! But Netflix feels like it. Since I’m always looking to get those Prepaid Cards!

I haven't tried HBO Max. But I got the $8.99 Netflix Basic Plan. Standard definition doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I watch it on my 32 inch TV screen.
Currently, I like HBO Max better than Netflix. Netflix has more products, but HBO Max has better products, while not disregarding the importance of quantity. HBO Max’s quantity will even increase over time at the expense of Netflix. The ‘Arrowverse’ series’ will eventually leave Netflix for HBO Max.
My family is keeping Netflix because it’s NETFLIX. 😂😂😃😁. But, pre-streaming, my family has also been HBO loyalists since the early 80’s. Warner Brothers being the movie studio arm of ownership to HBO, production quality and branding is tremendous on HBO Max. For me, that makes Netflix’s original content a wash. I don’t care much for Netflix’s original movies, but their original series’ are mostly fabulous. HBO Max largely brings powerful quality whether original series’ or original movies. The HBO originals are largely stupendous past and present, but the specific HBO Max original products are much spottier.
You did mention new release movies in the HBO Max $14.99 plan. It should also be mentioned that new release movies are not available in the $9.99 HBO max plan. That is the other big difference between the plans. As usual an excellent video.
A friend set up a profile for me on his Neflix subscription, but I hardly ever watch it. When I had Dish Network, for some of the time I had HBO. I mainly used it to watch Bill Maher. So, for me, I would choose HBO Max over Netflix. But I don't think either one would be worth the cost for me.

I like Netflix..selection more and is very vast..its almost impossible to not find something you want to see…however I like the DC comics selection on hbomax and the movies. So u really can't go wrong with either one

Both of these services are REALLY good, but I WILL NOT pay $30.00 for new movies, however not forcing you to pay for them whether you watch them or not makes that a non-issue. It's just WAY too expensive.
I usually switch from one to the other every few months.
In the end, Titans is the ONLY original content that I watch on HBO MAX.
So for my viewing habits, Netflix is a better fit for original content, and I agree that HBO MAX is much better for movies.
